Desired Experience
- Design and implement new website features and functionality
- Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
- Interpret wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin
- Ensure high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the WordPress/Web Application
- Be able to participate in all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Discuss project milestones and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
- Strong communication, time management and analytical/problem solving skills
Key Responsibilities
- 4 to 6 years of experience in WordPress development
- Strong experience in building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
- Experience working with WordPress at the PHP code level, including an understanding of the existing built-in WordPress functions, custom post types, coding standards for plugins/widgets, and custom theme integration best practices
- Proficient in PHP, OOPS, HTML, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript, jQuery WordPress
- Must have strong working knowledge of MySQL database encompassing design of Tables, Queries, Joins, Views, Stored procedures and Triggers
- Optimizing MySQL Queries and databases to improve the performance.
- Hands-on experience with Woocommerce
- Experience with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
- Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
- Experience of Handling Cloud Servers like Azure, AWS etc.
